Janet L. Fortner, 66, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.
Janet was born December 10, 1953, in Kansas City, MO to Clarence E. and Marcella G. (Jump) Vandergrift. She was employed by Leggett & Platt Wire Mill as a truck driver for 25 years, a member of the Carthage VFW Ladies’ Axillary and an avid bingo player.
Janet is survived by two sons, Jeremy Randolph and his fiancé, Tammy Baker, and Chris Randolph, both of Carthage; one sister, Sharon Tatum of Reeds; three grandchildren, Gabriel Randolph, Chase Randolph and Conner Randolph; two great-grandchildren, Paisley Barnett and Abigail Randolph, along with two nieces and two nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2020, in the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel.
