Gary W. Bratton, 76 passed away January 15, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO.
Gary was born October 31, 1944, in Arkansas City, KS to William Wade and Hellen Marie (Tower) Bratton. He was a longtime resident of Carthage and worked in all aspects of trucking, including truck driver. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Carthage and a member of American Legion Post #202 in Columbia, MO. He also served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966.
Gary was united in marriage to Jan Bratton on December 2, 2006, in Springfield, MO; she survives.
Gary is also survived by four sons, Tony Bratton of Wylie, TX, Craig Bratton in Ashland, MO, Brian Bratton (Yolanda) of Chicago, IL and Michael Bratton (Kristen) of Marietta, GA; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Masks are required for both events. Burial will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Cemetery in Carthage.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
