Benjamin “Ben” F. Pyle, 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at his home in Carthage. Ben was born February 20, 1930, in Columbia, MO to Nolan Franklin and Anna Marjorie (McKenzie) Pyle.
Ben worked as a prosecuting attorney for Jasper County Circuit Judge, Division 2. He was a member of Abu-Ben-Adhem Shriner’s in Springfield and served in the United States Air Force. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and fishing; Ben was also a Mustang enthusiast.
In 1952, Ben was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Elliott in Carmel, CA; she preceded him in death.
Ben is survived by one son, Steve Pyle (Trish) of Carthage; his companion of 20 years, Patsy Reynolds; six grandchildren, Chris, Carolynn, Brooke, Mathew, Evan and Kieffer, along with 11 great-grandchildren.
Ben was preceded in death by one son, Bob Pyle.
Ben’s remains will be inurned in Columbia, Mo., and services held there at a later date.
