Carthage man suffers serious injuries after hit-and-run driver hits e-bike

A Carthage man was injured in a hit-and-run accident 3:15 a.m. today on Chestnut Street a half mile east of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, an unknown vehicle struck the rear of a Metakoo Cybertrack 100 ridden by Justen L. Myers, 36, Carthage.

The vehicle fled the scene, according to the report.

Myers was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
