Vision Carthage Announces Hometown Holidays Event Lineup

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Hometown Holidays is coming to Carthage again for the holiday season! It will be better than ever with new events spread out over a week to help us kick off the upcoming holiday season!

Candy Cane Hunt on Tuesday, November 28 at 6:30 pm in Central Park

Join us as we kick off the holiday season with a sweet treasure hunt for candy canes! Bring your flashlight & holiday cheer to hunt for candy canes at Central Park in Carthage, MO. The hunt will start right at 6:30 pm. Find one of the special candy canes & you’ll win a prize! This is a FREE community event sponsored by the Carthage Community Foundation.

Movie Night on Thursday, November 30 at 6:30 pm in Carthage R-9 Auditorium

Tickets are on sale now! Get your pajamas ready and bring your cozy blankets for a heartwarming movie night featuring the Grinch. A perfect way to get into the holiday mood!

Family Fun Night on Friday, December 1 from 5:00-8:30 pm by the Little Venue of Carthage

Tickets are on sale now!  Gather your loved ones for a night of fun and laughter. We’ve got a bounce house, photos with Santa, balloons from Dave the Balloon Guy, photo ops, food trucks, yard games, and more!! The main entrance will be at the intersection of Maple and 7th St.

Shopping Crawl on Friday, December 1 & Saturday, Dec 2

It’s time to check off your holiday shopping list! 20+ stores in Carthage, MO are participating in this fun event. Stop by any of the participating retailers to pick up your stamp card on 12/1 & 12/2. All participating stores will stamp your card when you make a purchase in their store on 12/1 & 12/2. Each stamp earns you an entry into the grand prize drawing which includes a $25 gift card from each of the participating stores ($500+ value).

Mayor’s Tree Lighting on Monday, December 4 at 6:30 pm

Join us as we light up downtown with the Mayor! The annual tree lighting ceremony is sure to fill your heart with holiday cheer. This year the buildings on the square will be outlined in lights. Come experience the warmth and charm of the season in our Downtown Historic District with decorations, window paintings and more. Make sure you stay for the Carthage Christmas Parade held by Carthage Technical Center. This year’s theme – Candyland Christmas!

Tickets are on sale now! Tickets for Family Fun Night are $10 for an All Access Activity Wristband. Entrance into the Family Fun Night is FREE. Tickets for the Movie Night are $8/person in advance and $10/person day of. Your ticket will include the movie, a photo opportunity, and a treat!
