CARTHAGE, Mo. — Carthage High School is proud to announce that Mrs. Tema Marion has been selected as the new CHS Assistant Principal, bringing with her more than a decade of experience in education and a strong connection to the Carthage community. Her appointment is especially meaningful as Mrs. Marion is a proud graduate of Carthage High School.
Mrs. Marion has served at Carthage High School since 2023 as an English Learner (EL) teacher in science and math. Her educational career also includes leadership experience as an elementary school principal in Uniontown, Kansas, and as a Spanish teacher for Chetopa-St. Paul, Kansas.

Mrs. Marion shared, “Returning to my hometown to work with Carthage students has been such a joy for me. The relationships that I am privileged to have with the students and my colleagues at Carthage
High School make it easy to want to come to school every day and are invaluable to me. I feel very blessed to be back in Carthage.”
Carthage High School Principal Dr. Angela Holman added, “Mrs. Marion is no stranger to Carthage. As a CHS graduate, she brings a deep connection to our community. Her bilingual background, experience as a principal, and leadership in our EL Department make her a strong advocate for all students—and a great addition to our admin team. I feel confident her leadership will make CHS even stronger.”
