Abby Holderbaum, a 2024 graduate of Carthage High School, has received the Thomas Halbert Scholarship, administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
Holderbaum, the daughter of Mark and Leasha Holderbaum, will attend Missouri State University, where she will study nursing.
“I was thrilled when I received the Thomas Halbert Scholarship,” Holderbaum said. “This will prove as a great assistance in financing my college classes and materials needed to pursue a career in nursing.”
The Thomas Halbert Scholarship Fund was established to benefit students attending a Springfield-based university who intend to major in nursing.
The CFO and its regional affiliate foundations — including the Carthage Community Foundation — hold about 480 scholarship funds, established by generous donors to help students from across central and southern Missouri achieve their goals of higher education.
