“There was a strong showing at the 104th SW MO All Breeds Performance Test Bull Sale on October 28th at the Springfield Livestock Marketing Center in Springfield, MO,” says Patrick Davis MU Extension Livestock Field Specialist. There were 32 bulls that sold for an average price of $4,263 per bull. By breed the 30 Angus bulls sold for an average price of $4,303 per bull, 1 Hereford bull sold for $3,700 and 1 SimAngus bull sold for $3,600.

“The top selling bulls of the sale were Angus bulls from consigners that have consigned in previous sales,” says Davis. Two Angus bulls brought $6,000 and topped the sale. One top selling bull was consigned by Gleonda Angus Farm of Miller, MO and sold to Blackjack Springs Ranch of Miller, MO. The other top selling bull was consigned by Brubaker Genetics of Lamar, MO and sold to G&J Anderson Ranch of Selingmann, MO.

“The only Hereford bull consignment was provided by Cork Cattle Company of Wentworth, MO which has consigned in previous sales,” says Davis. The Hereford bull sold to Blackwell Farms of Lockwood, MO.
