The Community Foundation of the Ozarks has selected 12 nonprofit agency partners to participate in the 2019 Endowment Match Challenge. Each will have until Feb. 28 to raise at least $10,000 for permanent endowment funds, to be matched by a $5,000 grant from the CFO. A total of $60,000 is available, which will aid these nonprofit agencies in perpetuity:

Children’s Smile Center (southwest Missouri region)
Community Clinic of Southwest Missouri (Joplin/Carthage/Carl Junction)
Dignity Now (Joplin)
Isabel’s House (Springfield)
Least of These (Christian County)
LovinGrace (Joplin)
Ozark Greenways (Springfield-Greene County area)
United Ministries in Higher Education (Springfield/regional)
Watershed Committee of the Ozarks (Springfield-Greene County area)
Last year, 10 agencies participated in the Endowment Match Challenge, raising a total of $223,500 (including the CFO’s matching portion) for permanent endowments.
“Over time, we have learned that donors appreciate making their dollars go further by these types of matching challenges,” CFO president Brian Fogle said. “We want to support endowment building because it provides a stable funding stream for these agencies for years to come. We hope donors to these agencies will respond to this great opportunity.”
The Community Foundation of the Ozarks is a regional public charitable foundation established in 1973 that provides asset and resource development, grantmaking and public leadership through a network of donors, 49 affiliate foundations and some 600 nonprofit partners across central and southern Missouri.
