Letter to the Editor: Bullying in Carthage school

Dear Editor:

I received a phone call from a family member that told me about a child being bullied by other kids in school, the parents informed the school and the teacher told the child that no one likes a tattle tale and sit down and be quiet.

While posted on Facebook today, I have been overwhelmed by others who say this has been going on for years. I thought teachers were to help protect the kids not ignore them. I am very disturbed about the going on in school and people just turned their backs. How many children have to be afraid to go-to school or say something to the teachers? Or worse, how many more kids have to commit suicide because of the bullying?
