CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Grandma Farmer’s Market for their monthly meeting.
The club members discussed and showcased some of their finds from the previous month. Finds from the previous month are eligible to enter to win a prize, with the winners for each category voted on by the members in attendance.
Category winners were:
Civil War: 3 Ringer, Dan T.
Jewelry: Vintage Sterling Ring, Dan T.
Nicest Coin: 1940 D Mercury Dime, Dan T.
Oldest Coin: 1880s Shield Nickel, David H.
Relic: Missouri Military Pin, Ambree H.
Token: Good for 25¢ J. Lynch Token, Dan T.
Toy: None entered
Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.
Members present were: President Tom B., Treasurer David H., Ambree H., Jarrod M., Jerry H., Bill H., Dan T., Randy M., and Logan M.
The club hosted special guests Jaxon S., Jayten S., and Garrett S.
After the meeting, members went and hunted in the area. A good time was had by all.
