Multispecies grazing workshop May 22nd in Stockton; Preregister by May 15th
“Grazing multiple species of livestock on your grazing operation can improve efficiency and profitability,” says Patrick Davis, MU Extension Livestock Field Specialist. Diversifying the grazing livestock portfolio helps operations enhance forage utilization, increase efficiency, and potentially boost profit potential. However, planning and management are crucial for success. Therefore, MU Extension is providing a Multi-Species Grazing Workshop on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 6 p.m. This workshop will be held at the Stockton United Methodist Church Family Life Center at 708 East 32 Highway, Stockton, MO 65785.
“This workshop will cover the benefits and practicalities of multispecies grazing,” says Davis. Topics and speakers include:
- Protecting cattle operations from drought – Patrick Davis, MU Extension Livestock Field Specialist
- Benefits of Multispecies Grazing – David Brown, MU Extension Small Ruminant Field Specialist
- Multispecies Grazing Success Story – Bob Salmon, Bob Salmon Farms
The workshop is free, but registration is required. The meal will be catered by Hillbilly Express Smoked Meats and Catering LLC of Stockton, MO, and provided at no cost due to the sponsorship of Mid Mo Bank of Stockton, MO.
