The Way of Salvation Driving Christmas Lights Tour / Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer (CRM)

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Shrine at 1900 S. Grand Avenue in Carthage, Missouri. The entrance is on Fairview.

Daily from 6 pm to 10 pm on Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Day with extended lights until midnight on Christmas Eve.

The tradition of holiday lights in Carthage dates back to candles and lamplights, but the fathers at the CMR started building a notable presence for Carthage Christmas lights in 1984. With over a million bulbs, the half-mile tour of lights is perfect for a slow drive or long walk with the family.  The electro-art sculptures represent a variety of stories from the New and Old Testaments that share the history of human salvation. Sculptures include Jonah and the Whale, Moses parting the Red Sea,  David, and Goliath, and many more. The purpose of the Way of Salvation lighting tour is to share the depth of Christian meaning in the Christmas observance with all people. View or download the brochure with photos here. December 3-30 from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm (excluding Sunday, December 19)

Celebrate the joy of the season with a computerized Christmas Lighting Display. The program is set to traditional Christmas music and the lights dance in celebration. The program is typically set to run five songs. Families can drive into any point of the display and park to watch the full display of about five songs. The program runs on an endless cycle and will repeat on a loop. Volunteers are available on-site to help with parking and answer questions. Donations are appreciated. Starting with the Courthouse, the light display on the square has grown over the years to extend to photo opportunities with the Mayor’s Christmas Tree and holiday displays on the Courthouse lawn. In 2020, the display grew to wonderful window art on retail shops and a light tunnel on the south of the square from the main street group called Vision Carthage.

Vision Carthage brings a Hometown Holidays Christmas Village to Carthage. The temporary park space will include activities for the whole family including giant bounce slides, holiday activities, Santa, carolers, and ice skating. The space is available for private event rentals on Monday & Tuesday and is perfect for group events, club celebrations, and family gatherings. Wednesdays are primarily reserved for youth groups. The sparkling lights will be available from dusk till dawn each day with lights on trees and all the buildings. A festive addition to the tradition of lights in 2021 to bring joy to Carthage during the Holiday Season.

The Precious Moments Chapel Visitor Center has new decorations featured this year.    Along with the outdoor decorations to greet visitors upon arrival to the parking lot, making a perfect photo opportunity.

The Way of Salvation Driving Christmas Lights Tour / Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer (CRM)

Daily from 6 pm to 10 pm on Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Day with extended lights until midnight on Christmas Eve.

The tradition of holiday lights in Carthage dates back to candles and lamplights, but the fathers at the CMR started building a notable presence for Carthage Christmas lights in 1984. With over a million bulbs, the half-mile tour of lights is perfect for a slow drive or long walk with the family.  The electro-art sculptures represent a variety of stories from the New and Old Testaments that share the history of human salvation. Sculptures include Jonah and the Whale, Moses parting the Red Sea,  David, and Goliath, and many more. The purpose of the Way of Salvation lighting tour is to share the depth of Christian meaning in the Christmas observance with all people. View or download the brochure with photos here. Celebrate the joy of the season with a computerized Christmas Lighting Display. The program is set to traditional Christmas music and the lights dance in celebration. The Way of Salvation Driving Christmas Lights Tour / Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer (CRM)

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Shrine at 1900 S. Grand Avenue in Carthage, Missouri. The entrance is on Fairview.

Daily from 6 pm to 10 pm on Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Day with extended lights until midnight on Christmas Eve.

The tradition of holiday lights in Carthage dates back to candles and lamplights, but the fathers at the CMR started building a notable presence for Carthage Christmas lights in 1984. With over a million bulbs, the half-mile tour of lights is perfect for a slow drive or long walk with the family.  The electro-art sculptures represent a variety of stories from the New and Old Testaments that share the history of human salvation. Sculptures include Jonah and the Whale, Moses parting the Red Sea,  David, and Goliath, and many more. The purpose of the Way of Salvation lighting tour is to share the depth of Christian meaning in the Christmas observance with all people. View or download the brochure with photos here. The Way of Salvation Driving Christmas Lights Tour / Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer (CRM)

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Shrine at 1900 S. Grand Avenue in Carthage, Missouri. The entrance is on Fairview.

Daily from 6 pm to 10 pm on Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Day with extended lights until midnight on Christmas Eve.

The tradition of holiday lights in Carthage dates back to candles and lamplights, but the fathers at the CMR started building a notable presence for Carthage Christmas lights in 1984. With over a million bulbs, the half-mile tour of lights is perfect for a slow drive or long walk with the family.  The electro-art sculptures represent a variety of stories from the New and Old Testaments that share the history of human salvation. Sculptures include Jonah and the Whale, Moses parting the Red Sea,  David, and Goliath, and many more. The purpose of the Way of Salvation lighting tour is to share the depth of Christian meaning in the Christmas observance with all people. View or download the brochure with photos here. Daily from 6 pm to 10 pm on Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Day with extended lights until midnight on Christmas Eve.

The tradition of holiday lights in Carthage dates back to candles and lamplights, but the fathers at the CMR started building a notable presence for Carthage Christmas lights in 1984. With over a million bulbs, the half-mile tour of lights is perfect for a slow drive or long walk with the family.  The electro-art sculptures represent a variety of stories from the New and Old Testaments that share the history of human salvation. Sculptures include Jonah and the Whale, Moses parting the Red Sea,  David, and Goliath, and many more. The Immaculate Heart of Mary Shrine at 1900 S. Grand Avenue in Carthage, Missouri. The entrance is on Fairview.

Daily from 6 pm to 10 pm on Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Day with extended lights until midnight on Christmas Eve.

The tradition of holiday lights in Carthage dates back to candles and lamplights, but the fathers at the CMR started building a notable presence for Carthage Christmas lights in 1984. With over a million bulbs, the half-mile tour of lights is perfect for a slow drive or long walk with the family.  The electro-art sculptures represent a variety of stories from the New and Old Testaments that share the history of human salvation. Sculptures include Jonah and the Whale, Moses parting the Red Sea,  David, and Goliath, and many more. Carthage Parks and Recreation partners with the incredible talent of Carthage Water and Electric Plant to deck the park in lights. The sparkling lights will be available from dusk till dawn each day with lights on trees and all the buildings. A festive addition to the tradition of lights in 2021 to bring joy to Carthage during the Holiday Season.

Designed to resemble a hot air balloon, this water tower is draped in lights is a seasonal favorite. Enjoy.

November 20 – December 18 on Friday and Saturday nights only with Choirs of Christmas performances in the Chapel, subject to change

Precious Moments Visitor Center and Gardens open daily: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm. The Chapel Opens 10:00 am – 3:45 pm, the first tour at 10:15 am and the last at 3:00 pm. Christmas Eve Day Open 9:30 am – 1:00 pm

Closed: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

The Precious Moments Chapel Visitor Center has new decorations featured this year.    Along with the outdoor decorations to greet visitors upon arrival to the parking lot, making a perfect photo opportunity.

The Way of Salvation Driving Christmas Lights Tour / Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer (CRM)

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Shrine at 1900 S. Grand Avenue in Carthage, Missouri. The entrance is on Fairview.

Daily from 6 pm to 10 pm on Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Day with extended lights until midnight on Christmas Eve.

The tradition of holiday lights in Carthage dates back to candles and lamplights, but the fathers at the CMR started building a notable presence for Carthage Christmas lights in 1984. With over a million bulbs, the half-mile tour of lights is perfect for a slow drive or long walk with the family.  The electro-art sculptures represent a variety of stories from the New and Old Testaments that share the history of human salvation. Sculptures include Jonah and the Whale, Moses parting the Red Sea,  David, and Goliath, and many more. The purpose of the Way of Salvation lighting tour is to share the depth of Christian meaning in the Christmas observance with all people. View or download the brochure with photos here. Mt Moriah United Methodist Church 15506 Nutmeg Road Carthage, Missouri

December 3-30 from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm (excluding Sunday, December 19)

Celebrate the joy of the season with a computerized Christmas Lighting Display. The program is set to traditional Christmas music and the lights dance in celebration. The program is typically set to run five songs. Families can drive into any point of the display and park to watch the full display of about five songs. The program runs on an endless cycle and will repeat on a loop. Volunteers are available on-site to help with parking and answer questions. Donations are appreciated. Thanksgiving Day through New Year’s Day from dusk until dawn

Truly a picturesque vision! Starting with the Courthouse, the light display on the square has grown over the years to extend to photo opportunities with the Mayor’s Christmas Tree and holiday displays on the Courthouse lawn. In 2020, the display grew to wonderful window art on retail shops and a light tunnel on the south of the square from the main street group called Vision Carthage.

Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Day Thursday – Sunday varied hours

Vision Carthage brings a Hometown Holidays Christmas Village to Carthage. The temporary park space will include activities for the whole family including giant bounce slides, holiday activities, Santa, carolers, and ice skating. The space is available for private event rentals on Monday & Tuesday and is perfect for group events, club celebrations, and family gatherings. Wednesdays are primarily reserved for youth groups.
