Clarence “Leon” Hall, Jr., 69, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin. 

Leon was born June 21, 1951, in Winslow, Arkansas to Clarence and Violet (Poor) Hall.  He was raised in the Diamond, MO area and graduated from Diamond High School, Class of 1969.  Leon was employed by Leggett & Platt and Steadley.  He also owned and operated Hall Fencing. 

Leon was united in marriage to Gaylin Shores on July 4, 1993 in Carthage; she survives.

Leon is also survived by one daughter, Megan Hall of Joplin, MO; four sons, Erik Shores (Heidi) of Los Alamos, NM, Robert Hall (Ginger) of Webb City, MO, Chris Shores (Alma) of Republic, MO and Nick Shores (Stephanie) of Thailand; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Leon was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter-in-law, Claire Shores.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 Wednesday, January 6, 2020, at Ulmer Funeral Home.
