Billy G. Graywolf, 71, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020, at his home in Webb City.
Billy was born June 4, 1949, in Buffalo, NY to William Stephen and Paula Ann (Kindel) Barton, Sr. He was a bus driver in the Grand Canyon and on the Navaho Indian Reservation, an artist, a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. Billy served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1974 during the Vietnam War as a radar technician for the mine sweeper on the USS Guide, receiving the Nation Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, a Bronze Star and a Combat Action Ribbon.
Billy was united in marriage to Feathers Graywolf on July 5, 2003, in Reno, NV; she survives.
Billy is also survived by one son, Eric Anthony Barton; one daughter, Shamiah DeFrancesco; eight step-children, Daniel W. Roberts, Walter Radar Roberts, William Roberts, Jr., Michael Ferguson, Jacquelynn Rodrigues, Debbie McIntyre, Elizabeth Brooks and Amber McCurdy; one brother, Christopher Alan Barton; one sister, Deborah Ann Barton; 27 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Billy’s remains will be inurned at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at the Springfield Veterans’ Cemetery. Immediately following, a celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Ulmer Funeral Home.
