Cara Lynn Pugh, 73, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Tuesday evening, December 15, 2020 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Missouri.
Cara was born August 1, 1947, in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of Edgar James Glaze and Margie Elizabeth (Bagley) Glaze. She married Garald Pugh on August 13, 1969, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Survivors include a daughter, Tonya Peck (Keniston), Webb City, Missouri; two sons, Scott Pugh (Shanna), Carthage, Missouri, and Steven Pugh (Heather), Joplin, Missouri; grandchildren, Braden Peck, Aubrey Peck, Joel Pugh, Colt Pugh, Dylan Pugh, Christian Pugh, Bella Pugh, Peyton Pugh, Parker Williamson, Gracie Williamson, and Blaze Williamson; two brothers, Tommy Glaze (Brenda), and John Glaze; and three sisters, Edie Scott, Mary Galligher (Mike), and Nancy Sims (O.J.).
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Garald Pugh; a son, Joe Pugh; two brothers, Jimmy Glaze and Timothy Glaze; and a brother-in-law, Gilbert Scott.
Funeral services will be held 4 pm, Friday, December 18, 2020, at the Church of the Nazarene, Carthage, Missouri. Cara will lie in state for those that wish to sign the register book and pay respects from 11 am to 5 pm, Thursday, December 17, 2020, and from 9 am to 2 pm, Friday, December 18, 2020, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Burial will be held 1 pm, Monday, December 21, 2020, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Overland Park, Kansas. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
