CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Carthage Braum’s for their monthly meeting.
The club members discussed and showcased some of their finds from the previous month. Finds from the previous month are eligible to enter to win a prize, with the winners for each category voted on by the members in attendance.
Category winners were:
- Civil War: None entered
- Jewelry: None entered
- Nicest Coin: None entered
- Oldest Coin: 1930 D Wheat Penny, Dan Thompson
- Relic: 1870s Suspender Clip, Jerry Harris
- Token: Good Luck Token, Dan Thompson
- Toy: Hot Wheels Tow Vehicle, Jerry Harris
Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.
Members present were: Treasurer David Hoover, Jerry Harris, Randy Miler, Frank Thompson and Dan Thompson.
After the meeting, members went and hunted in the area. A good time was had by all.
The next meeting will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Braum’s. Don’t forget your finds.
