CARTHAGE, Mo. – Dedicated, passionate, and caring volunteers are the heart of Missouri 4-H, enriching the lives of youth and shaping the future of our communities. As National Volunteer Appreciation Week approaches, Jasper County 4-H extends its heartfelt gratitude to the thousands of volunteers who make a difference in the lives of young people across the state.
“Volunteers are the lifeblood of 4-H, enriching the lives of youth and shaping the future of our communities,” says Lupita Fabregas, Senior Director of Missouri 4-H. “Their dedication and passion create positive impact far beyond our programs. Volunteers embody the spirit of service and inspire young people to reach their full potential.”
During National Volunteer Appreciation Week, which takes place from April 21-27, 2024, Jasper County 4-H recognizes and celebrates the invaluable contributions of its volunteers. These individuals dedicate their time and expertise to empower youth, enriching their lives and fostering their development as leaders. “Volunteers provide the unwavering support, time, and energy that are the driving force behind the success of our youth programs,” says Steven Krauss, 4-H State Specialist in Volunteerism and Youth-Adult Partnerships, Associate Professor in Human Development and Family Science. “Their contributions are deeply appreciated every day. Without them, there would be no 4-H.”
One of the ways Missouri 4-H honors its volunteers is through the Frank Graham Volunteer Leadership Award, presented by the 4-H Center for Youth Development. We are excited to announce that Tianna Fisher from Jasper County is a recipient this year. The 4-H Frank Graham Award is a prestigious honor given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the 4-H program in Missouri. This award recognizes volunteers, educators, and supporters who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, leadership, and impact on 4-H youth development. Recipients of the Frank Graham Award are celebrated for their commitment to the principles and values of 4-H, and their efforts are seen as instrumental in the program’s success.
Tianna Fisher has left an indelible mark as a 4-H volunteer, demonstrating exemplary leadership and dedication in her roles as a club leader and project leader in outdoor adventures, shotgun, and muzzle loading. With a passion for fostering growth and development in youth, Tianna has tirelessly invested her time and expertise to empower young members to explore the great outdoors and develop invaluable skills in shooting sports. Her commitment to community support shines through her efforts, as she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that 4-H activities are accessible and enriching for all participants. Tianna’s leadership not only cultivates a love for outdoor activities but also instills important values of teamwork, responsibility, and respect for nature. Through her remarkable contributions, Tianna Fisher has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless young individuals, inspiring them to reach their fullest potential both within the 4-H community and beyond.
