Robbie Sager, a student at Carthage High School, has been selected to the Missouri All-State Band. On December 1, 2018, over 1,400 students from across Missouri met at Hickman High School in Columbia to audition for the honor of participating in the top honor band in the state. Only 109 students are accepted into this elite ensemble. The band will meet, rehearse, and perform at the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference held January 23 through January 26, 2019 at Tan-Tar-A Resort, Lake of the Ozarks. 

The conductor and clinician for the 2018-2019 Missouri All-State Band is Dr. Eric Wilson. Dr. Wilson is the director of bands at Baylor University in Waco, TX. Dr. Wilson provides administrative leadership for all aspects of the band program, conducts the Wind Ensemble, and teaches and oversees undergraduate and graduate conducting curricula. Dr. Wilson is Past-President of the Big 12 Band Directors Association and current President of the College Band Directors National Association Southwestern Devision. He was recently elected into the American Bandmasters Association and honored as Outstanding Professor for Tenured Teaching by Baylor University in 2014.

The only performance of the Missouri All-State Band will be at 3:30 p.m. , Jan. 26, 2019 in the Grand Salon of Lake of the Ozark’s Tan-Tar-A Resort.
