CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage boys varsity basketball team traded scores back and forth throughout the entire game, with the final score being decided on a tip in by Joplin’s Terrance Gibson with 6 seconds left in Carthage’s Tuesday night 46-45 conference loss.

On the ensuing play, Carthage’s Clay Kinder took the inbound pass the full length of the floor as the last 6 seconds were ticking down, but was unable to get a shot off as the ball got loose and went out of bounds on Carthage with just 1 second left.
