Wanda M. “Jordan” Williams, 82, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

Wanda was born Aug. 20, 1937, in Racine, Mo., to Earl Walter and Viola Mae “Christman” Jordan. She was a Carthage resident since 1970 and a member of Victory Baptist Church of Carthage. Before retiring, she worked at Sweet Williams Restaurant.

Wanda was united in marriage to Cleaton “Babe” Williams on Sept. 22, 1972, in Miami, Okla; he preceded her in death in 1992.

Wanda is survived by one son, Earl “Gene” Crook of Salina, Kan.; one daughter, Marcia “Crook” Grundy and husband J.W. “Dub” of Carthage; two brothers, Robert Jordan of Carthage and James “Leroy” Jordan of Oronogo; two sisters, Helen Jeffers of Webb City, and Hazel Banks of Carl Junction; four grandchildren, Christa, Jeromy, Jolissa and Kenzie; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Jordan, Carl Ray Jordan and Marvin Jordan; four sisters Lois Foster, Inez Scott, and Virginia Prigg.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, at Victory Baptist Church, 9871 County Lane 117 in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Carthage.
