Wanda Hicklin, 81, of Mt Vernon, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Wanda was born January 27, 1937 in Mt Vernon to Evert and Nellie “Evans” Marsh. Wanda was a lifetime resident and worked as a bookkeeper for Blevins Asphalt and various businesses in town. Wanda attended the First Christian Church in Carthage and the First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.
Wanda was married to James Buffington in 1954; he precede her in death in 1987. Wanda was then united in marriage to Robert Hicklin in 2000; he survives.
Wanda is also survived by one daughter, Alesha Williams of Neosho, MO; one son, James “Terry” Buffington and wife Susan of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Stanley Marsh and wife Betty of Mt. Vernon; four granddaughters Heather, Sydney, Jennifer and Megan; four great grandsons, Landon, Noah, Zander and Zayden.
Services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the First Christian Church “Disciples of Christ” in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
Visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
