Teddy Fritz Block, 91, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Carthage, Missouri. Teddy was born on October 7, 1930, in Diamond, Missouri the son of the late Udo and Flora (Spor) Block. He married Norma Cantrell on January 1, 1955, she preceded him in death on May 1, 2013. He worked as a machine operator for Vickers Hydraulics until his retirement. He loved to hunt and was an avid bird hunter, enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and gardening.
Survivors include his four children, Cherry Babcock (Joe), Carthage, Missouri, Debbie Braeckel (Pete), Joplin, Missouri, Harlan Block (Theresa), Carthage, Missouri, and Jenny Shaver (Joe), Lamar, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Crystal, Josiah, Kelly, Casie, Isaac, Hannah, and Joshua; nine great grandchildren, Scotty, Logan, Van, Carter, Amelia Perry Lou, Lane, Opal, and June; a brother, Rex Block; and three sisters, Christina Craft, Wanda Dennison, and Shirley Daubert.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson Kyle Braeckel; three brothers, Cecil Block, Irvin Block, and Kenneth Block; and a sister, Irene Hughey.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am Friday October 7, 2022, at the Knell Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 11 am Friday, October 7, 2022, at the Knell Mortuary with burial to follow in the Park Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri.
