Sherrie Kay Johnson lost her battle with cancer March 7, 2020, at age 54. She was born in Ravenna, Ohio but raised in Carthage, Missouri by parents Jim and Elaine Hill.
She graduated from Carthage High School. On Aug. 26, 1983, she married Greg Johnson in Mt. Vernon, Mo. Sherrie worked in accounting with companies in Southwest Missouri and overseas. She was well-liked and respected by all her co-workers.
Sherrie got the most enjoyment from spending time with her family; boating, family vacations and get-togethers. She was a loving mother of Brandon and Tara, a loving grandmother to Stephen, Ryland and Charli.
Anyone who met her knew she had a huge heart; she loved helping anyone in need – never expecting anything in return. Nobody is perfect but Sherrie was darn close! Sherrie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Greg Johnson; her children: Brandon Scott Johnson, his spouse Jessi (Miller) and Tara Lynn Johnson; three grandchildren: Stephen, Ryland and Charli; her mother Elaine Hill and siblings: Vicky, Rusty and Carey.
