Shannon Michael Stone Matlock, 27, Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 24, 2024, at his home.
Shannon was born November 4, 1996, in Rogers, Arkansas, the son of Glenn Stone and Deborah (Matlock) Russell. He was a 2015 graduate of Carl Junction High School. He worked as a sandblaster at a powder coating plant. He was a member of the Boy Scouts when he was younger. Shannon enjoyed fishing, playing video games, roller skating, and playing golf.
Survivors include his father, Glenn Stone; his mother, Deborah Russell (Stephen); a sister, Kristy Benton (Jonathan Cain); a brother, Larry Hopgood; and his beloved nieces and nephew, Courtney Hopgood, Dakota Hopgood, and River McCormack.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to Autism Foundation in care of Knell Mortuary.
