Saundra “Sandy” Davis, 82, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in Carthage, Missouri. Sandy was born November 10, 1940, in Joplin, Missouri to Sheldon Fisher and Agnes Keagy. Sandy was a longtime Joplin/Webb City resident. She loved to play the piano and played at church for a number of years. Sandy was an avid reader and her favorite books were the Amish themed books. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Joplin, Missouri.
Sandy was united in marriage to Bill Davis on January 9, 1960, in Miami, Oklahoma; he preceded her in death February 19, 2003.
Sandy is survived by her son, Bill Davis, Jr. (Dana) of Webb City, Missouri; two daughters, Theresia Danner (Ralph) of Joplin, Missouri and Sheldonna Woods (Butch) of Joplin, Missouri; three grandsons, Zack Sharon, Cody Sharon, and Dakota Sharon; and four great grandchildren.
Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents, Sheldon and Agnes Fisher; and her sisters, Carol Watkins and Joyce Patrick.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2023, at Carterville Cemetery in Carterville, Missouri. A visitation will be held prior to her graveside service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri.
