Roy Edward Hamilton, 80, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022, in Carthage, Missouri. Roy was born October 13, 1941, in Carthage, Missouri to Fred Hamilton and Pauline (Russow) Hamilton. Roy was a lifetime resident of Carthage. He loved spending time with his family, watching old western movies, enjoyed a good laugh and had a competitive spirit.
Roy is survived by one son, Mike Hamilton and wife Kelly of Rock Hill, South Carolina; four daughters, Glenda Kingsbury and her husband, Tony, of Carthage, Missouri, Laura Miller of Springfield, Missouri, Michelle Bowden and husband Jeff of Rutledge, Georgia, and Natalie Hamilton of Joplin, Missouri; three brothers, Dale Hamilton of Carthage, Missouri, David Chrisman of Joplin, Missouri and Virgil Denayer, Jr. of Aurora, Missouri; four sisters, Katherine Smith of Carthage, Missouri, Phyllis Talley of Carthage, Missouri, Donna Baker of Carterville, Missouri and Barbara Hunziker of Joplin, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Hamilton and Pauline (Russow) Denayer; his stepdad, Virgil Denayer; one brother, Doug Danayer; and three sisters, Susie Nally, Carolyn Brewer and Connie Chrisman.
Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Burial will be at Fasken Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri.
