Richard Bradley “Rick” Warden, 72, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021.
Rick was born August 13, 1948, in Carthage, Missouri, the son of Nelson Warden and Dorothy (Rollins) Warden. He was a 1966 graduate of Carthage High School. Rick was a veteran, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy for four years during Vietnam. He was then in the U.S. Navy Reserves for 21 years. He worked at Consumers Supermarket as assistant manager in Carthage for many years and was also an officer for the Carthage Police Department. Rick then worked for Visiting Angels as a caregiver from 2009-2016, earning a five-year award in 2014, and then became a private caregiver. He was a member of the NRA, the American Legion in Carthage, the Fleet Reserve Association and Grace Episcopal Church in Carthage.
Survivors include his companion of 13 years, Mildred Alumbaugh, Carthage; a brother Rob Warden (Jennifer), Chicago, Illinois; a niece, Wendy Buhrman (Jeffrey), West Palm Beach, Florida; and many extended friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepfather, Austin Harrison; and a brother, William “Bill” Warden.
