Michael Hinsdale, 37, of Carthage, MO passed away July 31, 2021 at KU Med Center. Born June 18, 1984 to Cindy Bounce, he spent his life in Carthage, graduating from Carthage High School in 2003. For the past 15 years, Michael was employed by Innovative Industries where he was a part of a tight-knit family whether at the Sheltered Workshop or on assignment at Schreiber’s.

A member of Carthage Nazarene, Michael loved men’s retreats, Wednesday night prayer, Connect Groups, Sunday Mornings, and catching rides with friends who made sure he could attend all church activities. Anytime he could hang out with men from church, whether cutting wood, fishing, or having breakfast, it was a good day for Michael. Choosing a front row seat during worship, his tender heart and simple faith frequently had him at the altar praying at the end of services. Often he would request prayer for co-workers, family members, or cab drivers that took him to work.

Since 2010, Michael has been cared for by his guardians Bobby and Catina Kendrick, cousins he leaves behind who provided a home and family. Other family members who join the large crowd of people who loved Michael and will remember his phrases for years to come, are Tyea and Tim Lee, Shawn and Shirley House, and many cousins.
