Matthew Lawrence Huff, 66, Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 10, 2024, at Sarcoxie Nursing Center, Sarcoxie, Missouri.
Matthew was born December 19, 1957, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of the late Lawrence Matthew Huff and Thelma Ilene (Schmidt) Huff. He was a 1975 graduate of Carthage High School. Matthew worked in maintenance for the Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer Church in Carthage. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Carthage. Matthew enjoyed doing yard work and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, but most of all, Matthew loved his family.
Survivors include his daughter, Megan Smith (Gary), Carthage, Missouri; five brothers, Steve Huff (Brenda), Rick Huff (Marcia), Bruce Huff (Dulce), Ralph Huff (Diane), and Kent Huff; and many extended family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Chris Huff.
A memorial visitation will be held 5-7 pm, Monday, April 15, 2024, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage, Missouri. Memorial gifts are suggested to Effort of Hope in care of Knell Mortuary.
