Marva Lea Ruhmann, 70, formerly of Carthage, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at her home in Beggs, Oklahoma. Marva was born March 5, 1952 in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of Marvin Eugene Schooler, Sr. and Maxine Viola Hodge. She was a 1970 graduate of Carthage High School, then received her bachelor’s degree from Missouri Southern State College. She worked as a paralegal for Thomas Klinginsmith in Carthage, Missouri until moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she worked for Sherwood, McCormick & Robert until her retirement. Marva married Ronald Ruhmann on September 2, 1995. Marva loved animals, including the Alaskan Malamutes that she raised, gardening, roller skating, and always put everyone else first.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Ronald Ruhmann; a son, David Wells (wife Lacey); step-son, Chris Ruhmann; two brothers, Marvin E. Schooler, Jr. (Karen), and Michael Lynn Schooler; a sister, Marla Sue Schooler Carr (Bob); five grandsons, one granddaughter, and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandparents, Ivan and Cora Schooler.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Leonard-Marker Funeral Home, Bixby, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time. A memorial service will also be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage, Missouri. Inurnment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri.
