Kristian Dawn Shanae Jefferis, 31, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Shanae was born to Mike Jefferis and Allison (Haskins) Sneed on March 26, 1991, in Joplin, Missouri. She attended beauty school in Portland, Oregon, and completed her Veterinary Assistant course here in Missouri. Shanae or “Nae Nae” as she was known to many, was a free and wild spirit full of life, love, and adventure. She liked to travel to different parts of the country, going to concerts with her friends, painting on canvas, and if she was quiet too long, she was probably somewhere reading. Shanae cherished her family and friends, and her love of animals knew no bounds. She liked to lend a helping hand when she could, and nothing ever seemed impossible to her.
Shanae is survived by her dad, Mike Jefferis and bonus mom, Beverly of Carthage; mom, Allison Sneed and bonus dad, Rob of Springfield; six sisters, Hannah Mason, Keilah Pooler and husband, Allen, Kylie Sneed, Rayna Jefferis, Kayla May, and Cheyenne LaFalier; three brothers, Kody Mason, Kolton Anderson, and Brad Sneed; her great grandma, Barbie Coyle of Arkansas; her grandpa, Tim Haskins of Carthage; her grandpa, Tom Polansky of McAlester, Oklahoma; grandmother, Shirley Mitchell of Carthage; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandma Peggy Haskins; grandmother, Pat Tommey; grandfather, Bob Tommey; and brother, Blake Sneed.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 6 , 2023 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Carthage Humane Society in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
