Kendra Joy Wilson Hansen, 71, Carthage, Missouri, passed away early Friday morning, November 11, 2022, at her home with family by her side. Kendra was born March 14, 1951, in Aurora, Missouri, the daughter of Kenneth Wilson and Caroline (Hawley) Wilson. She was a 1969 graduate of Monett High School. Kendra married the love of her life, Craig Hansen, on September 19, 1981, in Wentworth, Missouri. She was a talented seamstress with a focus on making wedding gowns and doing alterations. She continued her sewing talent by making beautiful quilts with her sisters. She gifted many of these quilts to friends and family. Kendra was also a gifted guitar player and skilled vocalist. She loved to praise the Lord with her music. She was a member of the New Covenant Church in Carthage. Kendra was very involved in the lives of her beloved grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Craig Hansen; her daughter, Amanda Cooperrider, and her children Caraline, Donovan, and Kenneth; her daughter, Amber Potter, and her children Caden, Ryland, Kyler, and Josiah; her sisters, Katie (Dale) Kellhofer, Wentworth, Missouri, LaVerne Cahalan, Monett, Missouri, and Olene (David) Allen, Loma Linda, Missouri; a brother, Kenneth (Duke) and Denise Wilson, Springfield, Missouri; eight nephews and eight nieces; thirty nine great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and acquaintances.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Caroline Wilson; a sister, Earlene Kay Wilson Kelley; her mother-in-law, Donna Jean Benton (Bill); and father-in-law, Jon Hansen and wife Ellie.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. The burial will follow at Hilton Cemetery, Crane, Missouri. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
