John Franklin Shrewsbury, 84, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020, at his home.
John was born November 20, 1935, in Carthage, Missouri; the son of the late Joel A. Shrewsbury and the late Frances R. (Sellers) Shrewsbury. John was a 1955 graduate of Carthage High School. He was a veteran serving his country with the United States Navy where he was a radio communicator trained to use Morse code.
He married Dorothy Baker on December 7, 1963 in Carthage, Missouri, she survives of the home. John was employed with several tv stations in the area as an engineer. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Carthage. He loved electronics and spending time with his family.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Frances Cowart and husband Craig, Carthage, Missouri; grandson, Tim Cowart and wife Justine, Elkhart, Indiana; and great-grandson Andrew Cowart.
