Harold Jimmie Fields, 82, Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away Thursday evening, January 12, 2023, at Cox Hospital, Monett, Missouri. Jimmie was born July 27, 1940, in Aberdeen, Washington, the son of Ira Harold Fields and Alma Marie (Osborn) Fields. He worked in the labeling department for the cannery industry. Jimmie married Sherry Sommer; she preceded him in death on November 1, 1971. Jimmie then married Wilma Chastain on April 26, 1980, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Carthage. Jimmie enjoyed fishing, singing and listening to bluegrass gospel music, but most of all, loved his family.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Wilma Fields; a brother, Ed Fields; two sisters, Sharion Lindberg and Audrey Prouty; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Alma Fields; and a brother, Gary Fields.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Miller, Missouri.
