Edith Ann Baker, 76, from Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Edith was born on April 12, 1946, in Carthage, to Mark Jones and Florence “Coady” Jones. She worked for many daycares taking care of children, and she really enjoyed Bingo and playing the Lotto.
Edith was joined in marriage to Gerald A. Baker on June 29, 1968, in Joplin, Missouri; he preceded her in death on August 16, 2011.
Survivors include her daughter Natalie Peterson (Tyson) of Carthage; two brothers, Richard Jones (Judy) and Art Ewing (Sue); four sisters, Jane Leal (Joe), Mary Hood, Freda Beam (Jimmy), and Rose Selves (Tim), two granddaughters, Candice Mills (Nathan), and Jillian Peterson; and two great-grandchildren, John, and Cailin Mills.
Along with her husband and parents, Edith was preceded in death by a son Gerald Eugene Baker (January 12, 2013), and three brothers, Kenneth Jones, Bobby Jones, and Junior Jones.
At this moment the family has decided not to hold any services.
