Our ornery, fun-loving brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, David Allen Knost, 56, passed away from a lengthy illness on January 4, 2019.
David was a lifelong Carthage resident, avid hunter and fisherman, farmer, welder and businessman. He was a proud supporter of the Carthage Tigers and Carthage FFA. David also enjoyed drag racing and flying with his buddy, the late Jim Frerer.
David leaves behind a brother Don (Susan), a sister, Debbie (Tobie), two nephews and five nieces and their spouses, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
David was preceded in death by his father, Gary and mother, Melba.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Carthage FFA Alumni Fund in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 26, 2019 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Orbit Products, 769 Orbit Lane, Carthage. At 4:00 p.m. an old-fashioned fish fry and shrimp boil will be served. Please bring chairs, drinks and optional side dishes.
