Darrell “Butch” M. Newman, 74, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at his home in Carthage.
Darrell was born March 16, 1946, in Carthage to Dewey and Ruth “Jeffries” Newman. He was a lifetime resident of Carthage, graduated from Carthage High School Class of ’64, served in the United States Army and was employed by the United States Postal Service for over 26 years.
Darrell is survived by one sister, Peggy Ann Swearingen of Carthage, along with one niece, one great-niece and many cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Dean Shelvey officiating, and full Military Honors to follow.
