Clarence C. Hudson, 97, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020, in Dunedin, Fla.
Clarence was born July 29, 1922, in Eureka Springs, Ark., to Harvey and Ada “Brown” Hudson. He was a longtime resident of Kansas City and Carthage, an electrician by trade and a member of the Masons.
Clarence was united in marriage to Hazel Marie Williams on Nov. 9, 1941, in Carthage; she preceded him in death Jan. 21, 2007.
Clarence is survived by one son, Charles L. Hudson and wife Jane of St. Louis; one daughter, Caroline Marie Gant and late husband George Gant of Palm Harbor, Fla.; one sister, Jane Pigue of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren, Alicia Whatley, Tricia Castle, Rhonda Harper, Jennifer Wildman and Brian Hudson; along with 14 great-grandchildren.
Clarence was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Emmanuel Cemetery, east of Carthage on the corner of Cedar Rd. and County Rd. 110.
