Charles Harold Anderson, Jr., 71, Carthage, Missouri, affectionately known as Bubba to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, December 29, 2024, at Carthage Health and Rehab. He was born on October 25, 1953, in Harrisonville, Missouri, the son of the late Charles Harold Anderson, Sr. and Fannie Mae (Miller) Anderson. Bubba’s life was a testament to the love and joy he brought to those around him.

Bubba was a proud graduate of Carthage High School, class of 1972. His dedication and hard work led him to a fulfilling career with Bolivar Insulation in Joplin, Missouri, where he specialized as an insulator of insulation and siding. His commitment to his craft was evident in the quality of his work and the respect he earned from his colleagues until his well-deserved retirement. Beyond his professional life, Bubba was a man of many passions. His love for music and karaoke was only surpassed by his love for classic cars. However, the centerpiece of his life was undoubtedly his family, whom he cherished above all else. Bubba’s heart was full of love, and he was a friend to all who knew him. His faith was the cornerstone of his existence; a devout Christian, he loved Jesus more than life itself. Bubba’s journey with God took on new meaning on November 9, 1991 when he surrendered his life to Christ, and he was baptized in His name on April 12, 1992. He found great joy in spreading the word and sharing his faith with others.

He is survived by his children, Marshall Anderson and Whitney Anderson Teague (Chris); his adored grandchildren, Kayden and Avery; his brother, Howard “Dale” Anderson (Deonna); his sisters, Sharon Kay Duncan, Frances Kay Wood, Diana Banks (Dick), Ona Kelly, and Dee Messersmith (Patrick); and many extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Ray Anderson and David Lee Anderson; and his sisters, Pamela Sue Anderson and Patricia Ann Knack.
