Cassandra “Hulett” Norwood, 32, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Kansas University Medical Center. Cassandra was born April 25, 1987 in Joplin to Rob and Melba “Vaughn” Haws. She was longtime resident of the area and worked at Chipotle as a restaurateur. Her love of children inspired her to become a foster parent and her love of animals created a forever home for several over the years. “Cassie’s” radiant smile will never be forgotten.
Cassandra was united in marriage to Natalie Norwood on September 25, 2014 in Bellville, IL; she survives.
Cassandra is also survived by her parents; one daughter, Iris Norwood; one brother, Caz Haws and one sister, Kari Haws, both of Nevada, MO.
Cassandra was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Walter and Nell Haws; and maternal grandparents, Marvin and Juanita Vaughn.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019. Time and location will be determined shortly; please check our website.

So sorry I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing this young lady, she sounds like a very special person. Heaven has definitely gained an angel. Deepest sympathy to her family. May you find peace after this tragic loss. Love and prayers to you all. ?
