Carl Virgil “Skip” Fansler, 92, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at his home. He was born on October 9, 1929, in Carthage the son of the late Charles Virgil and Florence (Pendleton) Fansler. He was a 1947 graduate of Carthage High School. He married Virginia Curry on May 26, 1949, in Carthage, she preceded him in death on August 22, 2010. He was a Veteran serving his country with the United States Air Force. He worked for Leggett and Platt for 44 and half years retiring as Production Manager. He was a member of The Bridge where he attended the Mr. and Mrs. Sunday School Class. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Hayworth, Diamond, Missouri, and Dixie Davis (Jerry), Joplin, Missouri; and two grandsons, Justin Davis (Laura), and Cody Davis, both of Joplin, Missouri; and his grand puppy, Millicent Hayworth.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, and a son in-law Daniel Hayworth.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Knell Mortuary with burial to follow in the Park Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the Knell Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to The Bridge or the Carthage Humane Society, in care of Knell Mortuary.
