Sen. Jill Carter Takes Oath of Office to Serve Missouri’s 32nd Senatorial District

JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Jill Carter, R-Granby, took the oath of office and was sworn in as a member of the 102nd General Assembly on Jan. 4, 2023. She represents the 32nd Senatorial District consisting of Jasper and Newton counties. The swearing in ceremony marks the beginning of the 2023 legislative session which runs from Jan. 4 to May 12.

A wife, mother and grandmother with a passion for education, Sen. Carter is a graduate of Crowder College and a resident of Granby for 36 years. Senator Carter comes from a long line of family farmers, owned a small, local business for 15 years and values the principles of hard work and integrity.

“It is an honor to represent the people of the 32nd Senatorial District,” Sen. Carter said. “I am grateful for their support and will do my very best to protect the Southwest Missouri values and principles that make Missouri the best state in the Union.”
