Seventh confirmed case of COVID-19 hits Jasper County

On Thursday, April 2, 2020, the Jasper County Health Department confirmed the seventh case of COVID-19 in Jasper County in a written release.

According to the release, “The individual is a person in their teens who resides in the county and had traveled outside of the United States.”

Identifying information will not be released to protect the patient’s right to privacy.

The Jasper County Health Department in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is working to determine any close contacts of this individual who were possibly exposed. If exposed, health officials will provide guidance to these individuals and monitor them closely for the development of symptoms.
