Three Carthage teens injured in two-vehicle accident near Joplin

Three Carthage teens were injured in a two-vehicle accident 10:18 p.m. Saturday on North Elmwood Drive one mile north of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Nissan Altima driven by Seth J. Cummins, 22, Joplin, crossed the center of the roadway and struck a parked 2014 Honda Pilot. The parked vehicle then struck a 14-year-old Carthage boy who was standing outside the car.

The boy and two passengers in the Honda Pilot, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both of Carthage, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Joplin.
