Five Carthage, Lockwood residents injured in collision

Five people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 4:15 p.m. Saturday at Oak Road and County Road 70 eight miles northeast of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Christina M. Palmer, 43, Carthage, failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a 2016 Honda Accord driven by Samuel J. Anibal, 24, Lockwood.

Anibal, Palmer, a passenger in the Anibel vehicle, Lindsay A. Anibal, 24, Lockwood, and a passenger in the Palmer vehicle, Karena J. Blevins, 46, Carthage, were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Carthage.

Another passenger in the Palmer vehicle, Charles D. Blevins, 49, Carthage, was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Carthage.
