Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 7:40 p.m. Thursday on Gum Road at County Road 110, two miles east of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2019 Subaru Outback driven by Janet R. Chambers, 83, Carthage, pulled into the path of a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Mikiah D. Mullins, 32, Springfield.
After the impact, the Chambers vehicle ran off the roadway and struck an embankment while the Mullins vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
Chambers was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
Mullins was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Joplin.
