The Ozark Gateway Master Gardeners are holding their yearly plant sale May 16, 2020.  The annual fundraiser will be held at Crosslines Ministry, 320 School Avenue, Joplin on Saturday, May 16th from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Plants for sale will include heirloom vegetable and herb transplants, annual and perennial flowers, native plants, shrubs, trees, houseplants and succulents, as well as garden art, and other garden objects.

All funds raised by this event go to support public projects undertaken by the Master Gardeners, and educational events for students, gardeners, and the community at large. Some of their most recent projects include Crosslines Churches of Joplin Food Pantry Garden, Shoal Creek Conservation Center (formerly Wildcat Glades) Demonstration Garden, Carthage Library Gardens, the Webb City Kids Garden and Webb City Farmers Market and Empire District kids activities.

The plant sale is open to the public to walk freely outdoors among the plants and choose their own.  Master gardeners will be on hand throughout the sale area to answer questions and provide information about the plants.  The master gardeners are advising their customers to practice social distancing, wear a mask if possible, and avoid large groups.   Exact change is preferred for cash transactions or payment can be made by check.
