Vision Carthage Opens Voting for Best Residential and Community Landscaping

CARTHAGE, Mo. – Vision Carthage is kicking off its annual Carthage in Bloom Awards! This beautification initiative recognizes the most beautiful yards and landscaping within the city limits of Carthage.

Up to two winners will be recognized from each of Carthage’s five wards. In addition to residential landscaping, the community is invited to nominate local businesses as well as nonprofits. Nominations are open now through June 8.

Judging will take place mid-June, with awards being presented during the “Evening Soirée: Flowers After Hours & Bloom Awards.

This special ceremony and benefit for Vision Carthage will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 27, in Central Park. In addition to awards, live music, an art walk, a bloom bar, themed raffles and food and drinks will add to the festive atmosphere to celebrate all things beautiful in Carthage. Community members interested in attending may purchase tickets for this fundraising event ahead of time for $25.

“This year, we’re putting a special emphasis on red, white, and blue plantings in honor of the nation’s 250th birthday,” stated Sally Stuart, Co Director of Vision Carthage. “However, anyone with a green thumb and a beautiful flower garden could win!”

Votes to recognize beautiful gardens can be cast at visioncarthage.org or by contacting the Vision Carthage office by phone at 417-674-3328.
