Southwest Missouri residents are invited to participate in a hands-on workshop in Monett to learn how install a high tunnel. High Tunnels are a cost effective way for small/beginning farmers to extend their growing season and increase revenue throughout the calendar year. The purpose of this hands-on workshop is to supply interested individuals with the practical knowledge needed to install their own high tunnels and enjoy the benefits of season extension.
Translation to Spanish will be provided by University of Missouri Extension Jasper County.
The event is hosted by Lincoln University, the Natural Resources and Conservation Services (NRCS) and University of Missouri Extension.
This workshop is free, but people need to register so we can get a count on number of participants for lunch. Farmer will provide a free lunch to all those registered on both days.
